Zico Albaiquni at National Gallery of Australia
15 Jun 2019
Zico Albaiquni is presenting five paintings in Contemporary Worlds: Indonesia, a major exhibition of contemporary Indonesian art at the National Gallery of Australia, in Canberra.
The exhibition showcases 20 of the most exciting emerging and established artists from Bali and Java’s key artistic centres of Bandung, Yogyakarta and Jakarta.
Featuring recent works and large-scale commissions, Contemporary Worlds: Indonesia explores the vibrant and complex art of Australia’s close neighbour in the turbulent post-Reformasi era: the fall of the Suharto regime through to the present day.
Contemporary Worlds: Indonesia opens on 21 June and is on view until 27 October 2019.
