Solomon Kammer: Finalist of Centre for Creative Health Art Prize
3 Sep 2021
Congratulations to Solomon Kammer who is selected as a finalist in the inaugural Centre for Creative Health Art Prize with the painting Capitulate – one of 40 works across a range of mediums, from artists at all career stages that was shortlisted from over 400 entries across South Australia.
Recognising the positive impact of using the arts to improve physical, psychological and spiritual health, artworks submitted for the Centre for Creative Health Art Prize respond to themes of healing, relating to human physical and mental health well-being.
“It is a great honour to be recognised in this way, especially as the prize theme was ‘healing’ which, as a person living with disability, is always a theme in my work.” – Solomon Kammer
The finalists’ works will be exhibited at Light Square Gallery in Adelaide from 27 September – 22 October with winners announced on 30 September.
