Ayka Go creates three-dimensional oil paintings of paper foldings, combining brush strokes and visuals of torn paper to explore existential musings and childhood wistfulness. At 29 years old, the University of the Philippines Diliman Studio Arts graduate has had her work exhibited across the Philippines, France, Italy, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand. She attributes her success to the support of her family and friends, as well as her willingness to take risks and be true to herself when painting.
