Abdul Abdullah, finalist of 2022 Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award

Congratulations to Abdul Abdullah who has been selected as a finalist for the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award!

Out of 240 submissions, Abdullah is amongst 40 finalists chosen with his work Interloper, previously shown at Abbotsford Convent as part of his series Interspecies Other & Others. An exhibition will be held in honour of the 20th anniversary of the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award, presenting a spectacular selection of cross-generational and culturally diverse artists working at the forefront of photographic media from this year’s finalist as well as a retrospective of previous winners and finalists.

The Winner of the award will be selected by the Senior Curator of Contemporary Australian Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Isobel Parker Philip, and will be announced at the opening of the exhibition on 17 September 2022.

The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award exhibition will be held from 17 September 2022 to 8 January 2023 at HOTA Gallery, Gold Coast, Australia.
